Why did you want to become a physician in the first place?
As I prepare to speak with medical students later this week, I'm reminded of the optimism they bring to medicine...and how easy it is to lose sight of that vision once we're in practice.
In this episode, I encourage physicians who are building or considering private practice to reconnect with the career they imagined when they first started. Your practice doesn't have to look like everyone else's. It should reflect your values, your goals, and the physician you always hoped to become.
If you're feeling discouraged or wondering whether private practice is worth it, this episode is your reminder that it's never too late to build a practice on purpose.
